LIVE: Hennessy Listening Lounge Ft. TGT

On a warm Friday night, R&B super group TGT made a stop in Washington, DC to turn the heat up a notch at their album listening session. Media and fans headed to intimate nightclub Shadow Room on August 23rd to hear the group’s first album, “3 Kings.” By now you should already know that TGT is a trio of friends and popular singers Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank. Each with their own careers, these three beautiful men joined forces under Atlantic Records to bring R&B back to the top. The Hennessy-sponsored listening lounge was well received by guests who enjoyed open bar all night as they patiently waited for TGT’s arrival.

Decked out in matching black outfits, the group walked in to an excited crowd. A number of screaming women strategically placed themselves in front of the VIP area. As TGT’s manager picked several women from the crowd to flank the group, DJ Reddz played snippets from the group’s album.  The trio, standing on top of the club’s couches and tables dancing and taking photos of the crowd. TGT later performed to their new tracks such as “Take It Wrong” and “Burn Out.” During one song, Tank took a moment to serve the women in the audience chocolate-covered strawberries. Yes I got one-- don’t judge me.

The rest of the night, the group bopped their heads to their own album, posed for photos and greeted the crowd. Guests who purchased the album before or during the session won a photo with the group.

After Shadow Room, the group headed to their next stop, The Park at Fourteenth. In case you missed the news, later that night Tyrese passed out while dancing on a speaker due to exhaustion. While he and the rest of the group are taking a small break, I hope, they can celebrate since “3 Kings” recently made the top of the RnB/Hip-Hop Albums chart and #3 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart.
