LIVE: UK Garage Legend DJ EZ @ Runnin', No Filter Club 04-15-2015

 
Dim Mak Records (helmed by EDM superstar Steve Aoki) has always led the pack in bringing the best underground Dance music to Hollywood, and April 15th was no different.  It was a UK takeover at No Filter as headliner DJ EZ came to town for his 2nd US show ever with Riddim Commission for Dim Mak's new Runnin' party.  We are currently going through a new British invasion with the up rise in popularity of Deep House thanks to artists like Disclosure and Gorgon City. The Tottenham, England native, DJ EZ, made a name for himself through the late 90's and aughts in clubs and on the world famous KISS 100 radio station.  Bringing an arsenal of turntable tricks, the crowd was blessed with a performance rarely seen in todays technology aided, hands off EDM DJ scene.  Garage, 2 Step, Drum & Bass and Deep House tunes churned out at a rapid pace, keeping the crowd screaming until last call.  The former bottle service only venue known as AV in central Hollywood has been stripped to the basics, a dancefloor and a massive soundsystem, bringing back the atmosphere of Dim Mak Tuesdays at Cinespace and Banana Split Sundays at LAX.  With the right venue in place and top notch international talent on deck, Runnin' is set to be an LA highlight for summer 2015.
