LIVE: From Coachella, With Love
You can call this one of the best weekends of the year. Standing in the middle of the Coachella playground might be overwhelming at first but it's all part of the experience. You are surrounded by great music and the people who love great music. The lineup this year was epic. The scheduling, however, wasn't the crowd favorite.
I started my 3-day epic weekend with a band from Louisiana called GIVERS. Their sound has Caribbean undertones with rich and raspy vocals. All you want to do is dance around in the packed shaded tent. GIVERS were particular overwhelmed by the amount of people that came to see them. When you listen to their it might remind you of Vampire Weekend with a punch.

M83 put on a great show. Opening with "Reunion,"one of my favorite songs off of their latest album, "Hurry Up We're Dreaming". The vocals were just like the original and the crowd love it. Childish Gambino had a fun set. Everyone in the crowd was rhyming with the "UCLA" track.

Swedish House Mafia, EC Twins, Calvin Harris, David Guetta brought the house down by playing each other hits an playing with the crowd with samples that make you excited to hear the next beat. The special guest performances from Usher during David Guetta and Rihanna during Calvin Harris brought the Sahara tent down!
Whoever decided to close the weekend with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre should win the lottery. They did a well deserved tribute montage to Nate Dogg. Surprise Visits from 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Wiz Khalifa, Danny Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and Tupac kept the set exciting. Yes, I said Tupac. I'm sure you have seen the YouTube clip but imagine it in person. This was the most amazing uncomfortable moment of the night. The crowd surrounding me fell silent after he said "WATTUP COACHELLA!" At first, I thought it was going to be another tribute montage but he started to move and start "Hail Mary". I looked at the big screen and then looked at the stage, I thought I was tripping on some new drug. After the performance ended, the girl in front of me yelled what everyone was thinking..."what just happened?!"
Overall, Coachella is a weekend that you can never forget. You meet great people from different countries and listen to amazing music in the sun. You have to have this experience at least once. You won't regret it.
