LIVE: New Edition AllSix Tour at Verizon Center [DC]

photos: Sneakshot Photography

Ah boy bands, they have been the cause of many teenage (and some cougars dreams), many of these bands have a rapid rise and fall into obscurity almost just as quickly as they rose to fame.  Now there are a few exceptions such as NKTOB aka New Kids on the Block (but hey they aren't new or are they kids anymore...lol) and New Edition.

New Edition has hit the road again on their AllSix Tour which includes the original five members --Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike and Ralph, as well as Johnny Gill.  Unfortunately, when the show arrived in Washington DC, the King of Stage Bobby Brown wasn't on this stop due to health issues --he has since rejoined the tour.

Hip-Hop duo Salt N' Pepa opened the show performing a majority of their classics, "Shoop", "Whatta Man", "Shake Yo Thang" and "Push It"  and more.  During intermission I observed women wearing Bobby Brown and New Edition buttons, T-shirts, some were dressed in full BBD regalia. Others were chatting with others around them about who's their favorite NE member, the first time they attended a New Edition concert.

Then the house lights went off and a deafening screams were all I heard, then I realized I was screaming too ---hey, what can I say I've been a fan for YEARS!
