LIVE: 8th Annual DC Loves Dilla Tribute Show

There was a storm brewing outside of the Howard Theatre the night of the 8th Annual DC Loves Dilla show, but inside the theatre there was nothing but big love and adoration for James "J Dilla" Yancey.  Over 1000 people showed up to celebrate Dilla's music and legacy.  Hosted by Grap Luva, the night saw performances from Oddisee, Awthentik, J Hill, Alison Carney, Yahzarah, Muhsinah, Wayna, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Bilal, De La Soul and more all backed by The Players.  It was a beautiful night, there was a video crew capturing the moment, hopefully we'll see that footage soon. So, if you missed this years you best believe that you should be in the place for next year's show.
