Interviewers nowadays tend to ask boring bubble gum, boilerplate questions.  They fail to recognize that the interviewee (celebrities, musicians, politicians, etc.), just on the very account of their accomplishments and the life they lead, have very substantial and profound viewpoints. Why can't interviewers be more like Dick Cavett?
