VIDEO: Zara McFarlane - Police & Thieves

Adding to the celebrations of Jamaica's 50 years of independence, Zara McFarlane has released a new video featuring her jazz rendition of Junior Marvin's reggae classic "Police & Thieves", originally produced in 1976 by Lee "Scratch" Perry.

Shot in an unglamorous London neighbourhood, the slow-paced and textured video, directed by Julian Green, serves as a complimentary platform to Zara's elegant and delicate treatment of a riotous theme.

This track will be part of Zara's second album, due to be released next year on Brownswood Recordings.
