VIDEO: Szjerdene - Go

A mother prepares breakfast for her daughter before she leaves for school; an elderly woman bids her suited son farewell as he rushes to work; a teenage girl is at home, alone, contemplating her own demise.  Separate scenes, individual stories held together and linked by the fluid motion of dance.

The video to Szjerdene's "Go", from her most recent release Patchwork: The EP on Ninja Tunes is an impeccable match to her music - similarly a delicate ballet of  soulful vocals, electronica and folk undertones.

Elegant choreography, clever use of slow motion, reverse playback and skillful editing make this collaboration between UK songstress Szjerdene, Amsterdam-based director Hesdy Lonwijk and the Dutch National ballet a stroke of artistic genius.
