Metronomy's growth is an interesting one to chart. They started off as mainly a two man electronic dance music outfit lead by Joseph Mount that had a great string of records in this incarnation. For their breakout album, The English Rivera, they became a full formed band. While they vered nods towards pop and 80's yacht rock underneath it all they kept a solid dance pulse thanks to the skin tight rhythm section of bassist Olugbenga Adelekan and drummer Anna Prior.

For the songs on the upcoming album, Love Letters, it seems that they are distancing themselves even more from their dance roots. Their first single, "I'm Aquarius" was a slower moving ballad, and here we move into a nice bit of smooth upbeat pop that sounds like it could come from 2014 or 1964. It's still solid track, and the visuals from music video auteur , Michel Gondry makes it a definite watch.
