The Philippines might not be the home of R&B and soul, but it's not surprising. With the Internet, the worldwide spread of musical movements. The singer was born in Dallas, Texas, however she's been living in Manila for the past 4 years, integrating herself with the deep soul scene in the city. Signed to Deeper Manila records, the artist has been consistently releasing some rather amazing music. Inspired by the sounds of Manila, the result is extra soulful and jazzy, with a heavy emphasis on Rhodes piano and a hip-hop backbeat.
