Stop Smiling Drops the DC Issue

It's been a long time coming, but DC is finally getting recognition from media sources outside of the DMV. Stop Smiling magazine dedicates it current issue to the DC area, with Backyard Band/The Wire's Anwan Glover and DC novelist/Wire writer George Pelecanos gracing the cover. Despite the gangsta cover, the magazine covers more of "Federal" DC than most locals would like, with politicos such as overexposed writer Ana Marie Cox (Wonkette) and former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel getting features. However, the issue does feature Don Zientara of Inner Ear Studios, as well as a collection of essential go-go and DC hardcore tracks.
