“Today” from their upcoming mixtape Freedom's For the Brave has The New Royales paying homage to the original version by Jefferson Airplane, Tom Scott’s cover, and the classic hip-hop track that sampled it “They Reminise Over You” by legends Pete Rock and CL Smooth. From 1967 to 1992 to 2012 it's been a total of 45 years that this song has endured and remained a classic in various forms.
