I've heard a smattering of new tracks from Aloe Blacc's new album, Good Things, which drops this Fall, and I'm convinced that this will be his best album yet. With a sound that harkens 70s soul (think Curtis Mayfield and Stevie), Good Things is slated to make its mark on the R&B scene, and widen the audience for Aloe beyond his always strong underground following.

This track that just dropped on Stone's Throw is a cover of the Velvet Underground's Femme Fatale. Unlike some straight up covers, Aloe and his crew from Truth and Soul completely rearrange the track, almost making it unrecognizable from the original. Check it.
