MUSIC: Saul Williams - Horn Of The Clock-Bike

As as 2015 albums are concerned we at thecouchsessions are still waiting patiently for Saul Williams newest Martyr Loser King. While many of slam poets in the era of the mid 90's tried to make the transition into music (with middling results) Saul Williams was one of the few to make the transition into an even stronger artist.
Saul knew the power of his poetry was the seething social injustice driven anger beneath it all and he knew that served it best was a close affiliation to aggressive music soundscapes; be it rock, hip-hop or electronic music. As a result he’s been one of the most forward-looking musical artists across the board(and has managed to not even lose a step with his poetry). Martyr Loser King will be his album first after his 2007 record The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust which had Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails fame) on production. The latest single is Horn Of the Clock-Bike, a haunting track built off a repeating piano riff. Check it out above.
