Saul Williams has a new project on the horizion called MartyrLoserKing. While we happily live in a post Yeezus aggressive rap world, Saul Williams doesn't get the credit he deserves for bringing in a heavy dark rock edge to his hip-hop work; how many rappers can say their had their last album was produced by Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor? Hell, he even worked with Nike before West did.
On this latest track he teams up with Warpaint bandmember Emily Kokal for Burundi. It's not as immediately abrasive as some of his recent output, but the way it builds will have you headnodding and driving just a little bit faster nevertheless. Listen below.
