MUSIC: REL Celebrates Janet Jackson's Birthday With a Mix

May 16th is Janet Jackson's birthday. While it's hard to call someone who's sold tens of millions of albums underrated, I think we forget just how much she's accomplished in her career. She's been a foot stomping fascist who's dance moves were unparalleled except for one person, a smooth seductress who sound tracked the conception of many 90's babies, and made head nod friendly hip-hop tracks with little known rappers. There isn't a crevice in R&B that Ms.Jackson hasn't explored and left an impression on, and San Fransico producer REL pays tribute in his latest mix which features Kaytranada and Disclosure.
