MUSIC: Celebration - Chariot
There was a small period in the '00's where indie rock fans realized they could dance and have no one would laugh at them. It was a glorious time where instead of standing and staring critically at the band on stage they would move around, shake hips, an maybe even engage in a foot shuffle or two. Band's discovered the power of four on the floor and for the first time in a long while rock music grooved.
Baltimore based Celebration were one of the better bands from that time. Frontwoman and singer Katrina Ford always had a sultry voice that had more of a sensual vibe to it then other bands at the time, and while they liked to dip into some psychedelically interesting sounds, they never lost their sense of fun. They are back with a new album called Albumin on the record label Bella Union. Check out their gospel tinged "Chariot" below and see the clip from the "Tomorrow's Here Today".
