Is Theophilus London the next big thing?

Possibly. Although hip-hop circles are still scratching their heads, the NYC artist has been gaining a steady fanbase of loyal (and diverse) followers. With a sound that reminds me of placing your iPod on shuffle, Theo is definitely at the forefront of a new generation of musicians who know no boundaries between genre or culture.

I Want You (derived from the Marvin Gaye song of the same name) features production by Hudson Mohawke as well as input from Lightspeed Champion, Dave Sitek from TV on the Radio, and Solange among others. Unlike his previous efforts, there is actually a lot more rapping. Check it.
