CONTEST: Michael Jackson: The Making of Thriller: 4 Days/1983
CLICK HERE TO WIN A COPY OF THE BOOK!
We all enjoy Kanye's latest effort at the long form video, but let's face it, if it wasn't for Michael Jackson's Thriller in 1983, opportunities for Kanye and others to do what they do on a large scale would not exist.
During a time when Black artists where struggling to make it onto MTV, Michael Jackson not only crossed barriers, but he destroyed them. Recruiting top notch director John Landis and having a never before seen $500,000 budget, the 14 minute epic for Thriller still lives to this day as one of the greatest videos of all time, if not the greatest.
We all know about the video for Thriller, however, only two members of the media were allowed on set during the filming of the video. Photographer Douglas Kirkland and reporter Nancy Griffin chart the making of the video, with hundreds of never before seen pictures, supplemented with quotes from various recording artists and celebrities on the impact of Michael's legacy.
We're giving away one (1) AUTOGRAPHED copy of Michael Jackson: The Making of Thriller: 4 Days/1983 in an exclusive contest! Enter to win the book below.
