Big K.R.I.T Asserts "Its Better This Way"
Meridien, Mississippi gave us one of the greatest young rappers of our time. Although he is not widely shown on mainstream music television but Big K.R.I.T’s fan base is far and wide. K.R.I.T’s southern vernacular, husky voice and ability to go from trill to turn up in 2.5 seconds, keeps K.R.I.T’s talent on everyone’s tongue. Being the hip hop head that he is, K.R.I.T surprised his fans with a surprise mixtape called “Its Better This Way”. The visual art for this mixtape truly depicts a strong message about the current state of hip hop. K.R.I.T’s intro to the mixtape has a sick live horn blaring under his voice and his smooth flow. On “It’s Better This Way”, DJ Drama narrates as Ludacris, Chicago the Kidd and Warren G drop in to play wingman to K.R.I.T on a few of the tracks.
If you're in the Washington DC area on Tuesday, October 27th, Big K.R.I.T will be performing at the Howard Theatre. Purchase your tickets here.
