Most people might associated Daptone Records with Amy CrackhWinehouse, since their house band backed her up on her recent album Back to Black. However Daptone actually has a rather extensive catalog, and the label is also known for such acts as the Budos Band as well as the one and only Sharon Jones.

After what seems like years in the game, Daptone Records seemed ripe for a remix album. Hence, Daptone Remixed is born. Daptone Remixed is a two CD set which features such notables as Mark Ronson, Hank Shocklee (Public Enemy), Mad Professor, Large Professor , DJ Spinna, Kenny Dope , Ticklah, Cool Calm Pete and DC’s own Wale on the boards to rework the tracks. The album itself is sponsored by Scion as a part of their Scion CD Sampler series, so it won’t be in retail outlets, but most likely at Scion dealerships, auto shows, and events.
