FOOD (Truck): Spotlight on Evan's NY Style Deli [Boston]

Okay, Boston. I know you can have somewhat of a--we'll just say a complex--when it comes to New York City. I'm not trying to get into a baseball debate here, but I am asking you to put aside years of strife and check out Evan's New York Style Deli food truck.

Evan's has been around in Marblehead for 7 years now but their food truck is a recent addition to the Boston streets. They serve bagels (of course), knishes (of course), and a series of specialty sandwiches that sound too delicious to choose. The prices look steep at 10.49 for a full sandwich, but these babies are big. Like Big Apple big. The Corned Beef Reuben is mammoth with sauerkraut and Swiss, but the Bostonian is even bigger: over 1.5 pounds of deli meat. If you feel the need to prove your city pride, that's one way to go.

While Evan started his deli training in Marblehead, he finished in New York at kings of the deli world establishments like the Stage, Carnagie, and Katz's. Luckily for us, he brought it all back home to Boston. The Evan's website posts their food truck schedule and menu and I promise you it won't compromise the dignity of our city if you enjoy a NY-style sandwich. Which you will.
