The other night I had what I believe to be the best meal I've had in quite some time.  Everything was perfect from start to finish.  And now I'm going to tell you about it just so that I can keep thinking of it as I eat my burnt toast...
My grandparents live uptown and their favorite restaurant up there is Paola's on 92nd and Madison.  After seeing a play together, we went uptown and had a late dinner.  I started with a glass of Prosecco and the burrata.  The burrata is some of the best I've had.  It literally melted in my mouth.  And the tomatoes were perfectly ripe and the proscuitto that came with it was salty and delicious.

Paola's agnolotti
My grandmother insisted I have the agnolotti, which sounded good to me but I wasn't too sure I'd love it.  I was so wrong.  That agnolotti was the best thing I've eaten in AGES.  It's basically ravioli with veal in a buttery white wine sauce with huge flecks of parmesan and truffles.  It was out of this world.  I'm going to have dreams of this pasta dish.
As grandparents do, they insisted on dessert.  I wasn't going to object.  She once again insisted I have the strawberry shortcake, which I like so I was definitely down.  It's a great summer dessert.  And it was honestly the best strawberry shortcake I've ever had.  Everything about it was perfect, not to mention there were about ten strawberries on the plate.  Simply amazing.
If you're looking for a really nice Italian restaurant for date night or to take your parents, or to impress anyone--you need to go to Paola's.  You won't regret it.
