FOOD: Morandi [NYC]

There are an endless number of Italian restaurants in the city but what struck me upon walking into Morandi was the space and decor.  This was the perfect spot for a cozy Wednesday night dinner when the temperature was near freezing.
I was impressed by the extensive wine list--I'm always in the mood for a glass of wine during the week!--and the waiter was super knowledgeable about pointing us in the right direction in choosing a bottle.
Burrata has become increasingly popular lately, I feel like I have seen it on very menu so of course I had to try it.  Not surprising, this did not disappoint.  What I didn't love on the other hand, was the fried oysters.  They were a special that night and for me they were just too breaded.  I could barely taste the oyster.
Trying something new for a main course, I went with the sea bream, which is pretty mild fish that I really enjoyed.  The only thing perhaps wrong with this dish is that it didn't come with anything on the side so I ordered some spinach since the fish itself wasn't exactly super filling.
All in all I had a really lovely dinner here and I'd certainly recommend Morandi.
