FOOD: Momo Sushi [Brooklyn]

Momo
I don't spend a ton of time in Bushwick, but after going to Momo Sushi Shack the other weekend I'm going to make more of an effort to discover the food scene there.
The atmosphere of this place is quintessentially Bushwick.  Situated in an old warehouse, wooden communal tables span the small restaurant giving off a casual yet cozy vibe.  It was particularly cold the night I went and the heat was blasting, which felt amazing.  On a Sunday around 7pm we sat right down and were actually only one of the few parties that evening, although it did seem to pick up later when we were leaving closer to 9.  But I think Friday and Saturdays can get pretty busy there.

Between the four of us we ordered the Party Bomb which is an assortment of fish and toppings on a bed of rice small enough to pop in your mouth in one bite.  There were four different kinds and for an extra $6 they gave us 4 pieces of each instead of 3 like it normally comes with (for $19) so we could each try one.  Next time I go back, I may just get this entire dish for myself, that's how good it was.
We also got an assortment of regular sushi rolls, which were great as well and reasonably priced, but my favorite dish of the evening was the tuna tartare with quail egg.  We each got one of these and for $5 it's a bit pricey but this was my absolute favorite.
Momo is perfect for a casual dinner with friends who really appreciate good sushi.  I was completely impressed and cannot wait to go back.
