FOOD: Fatta Cuckoo [NYC]

bec

Ah, brunch.  Is there anything better?  The other day, my roommates and a few friends went to Fatta Cuckoo to catch up and talk all things Halloween.  And I think it's safe to say that we all had a great time.

This place is small, like really small.  But if you make a reservation you should be fine.  There were 6 of us and even with our 1pm reservation we sat down closer to 1:30 but that's totally ok.  We wanted to have a leisurely brunch and we weren't about to blame the table before us for doing the same.

Brunch deals are all over the city, and here is no exception.  For $25 you get an entree (honestly, all of the entree choices looked amazing) and 3 drinks.  So naturally, I had 3 Bloody Mary's and after the first one I thought, oh boy, we are going to have to be here for a while.

The first round of drinks came in mason jar glasses--perfect size if you ask me.  The next round came in a variety of sizes--we even tested it out to see if this new glass was smaller, and indeed, it was.  So being the slightly buzzed group that we were, we asked the server about it and she gladly filled the rest of the glass.  Score.

I chose the classic bacon, egg, and cheese--basically because it came with french fries but each choice sounded amazing and I had a hard time deciding.  But I think the consensus was that I won brunch that afternoon.  So if you go, I definitely recommend that.

All in all, it was a great afternoon spent eating awesome food and drinking perhaps a bit too much.
