FOOD: Cucina Di Pesce [NYC]
Italian food is always a great choice. There's usually something for everyone and who doesn't love cheese? I personally am always up for Italian and after having a great dinner at Cucina Di Pesce recently I am already looking forward to going back, particularly in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor seating.
I went to Cucina Di Pesce for dinner around the holidays and it was the perfect spot. I want to say it was a Wednesday but it was quiet and that's really how I would prefer it. I hate crowds and don't like dealing with dining on top of other people, as one has to get used to in New York. So this was the best scenario possible.
The decor is very cool as well--it felt very authentically Italian, old world kind of Italian. I didn't really get to check out the outdoor area that much--it was a cold and rainy winter evening but checking out their website I can see that it's quite beautiful. I would love to have a glass of wine outside with a delicious bowl of pasta.
Speaking of pasta, I got just that. I'm not a huge pasta fan in all honesty, but when there is seafood involved it's a complete game changer. There's nothing better. I opted for the seafood fettuccine and loved every bite. The sauce wasn't too creamy and the pasta was very good itself. Every dish we ordered looked equally great as well. This is just the perfect place to bring parents, friends from out of town who don't particularly love how busy and crowded New York can be, or date night. I'd imagine it would be good for groups as well as there are so many tables and the space is quite large. All in all, great experience and I will certainly be back this summer.
