EVENT PREVIEW: Taste Talks 2014, I Already Love You

Boring lectures, these are definitely not. I've been anticipating this year's Taste Talks weekend ever since last year's CS X Eventbrite coverage, and trust me, I have never been so excited to hear a bunch of strangers talk on and on in my whole life.
The weekend kicks off with a special dinner on Friday, followed by a Saturday chock full of all kinds of talks and panels. Talks to note that I am particularly pumped for: Reporting, Writing, and Eating: How Sam Sifton covers the food news to the New York Times [because I want to be Sam Sifton]; Online/Offline: The Future of Food Magazines [because I have a raging girl crush on Kerry Diamond]; the Tequila & Mezcal Tasting Lab with Phil Ward of Death & Co. [because tequila and mezcal, duh] and of course the Future Food Expo that will be going on all day Saturday and Sunday [free with RSVP!], showcasing all that's up and coming in the food world.
The weekend closes out with the All-Star BBQ -- in last year's version I shamelessly gorged on beef heart, sweet corn ice cream, ostrich burgers, beef tongue, among other tasty treats -- and I expect no less from this year. With a cast of culinary characters such as Andy Ricker (serving Boar Collar Meat), Ivan Orkin (bringing Grilled Duck Hearts to the table), Action Bronson & Michael White (cooking up Porchetta "Kra Prow" Tigelle) as well as many of the food world's most popular chefs, we're looking at the one BBQ all year that you're going to want to be at.
Tickets as well as information on all panels and the All-Star BBQ can be found on the official Taste Talks website.
