EVENT PREVIEW: Le Fooding 2015: La Revanche des Faubourgs
The 15th anniversary of Le Fooding is approaching, and nothing would suit such a milestone better than a giant three-day birthday feast. This year, the event will highlight some of the world's best faubourgeois chefs, from the world’s most creative faubourgs (think Brooklyn, Shoreditch, East Berlin, Mission District, and more) serving up some of their best dishes celebrating urban rebirth and deliciousness.
The weekend will kick off with a Friday night music festival style feast, Foodstock, featuring artists such as Denai Moore (Stratford, London), Tropics (Shoreditch, London), H-Burns (Saint Ambroise, Paris), Camille (L’ile Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis), Shay Ola “Death by Burrito” (Canal Saint-Martin, Paris) and dishes by Isaac Mchale (The Clove Club, Shoreditch, Londres), Dave Sclarow and Anna Viertel (Pizza Moto, Brooklyn, NY), Marc Grossman (Bob’s Bake Shop, Marx Dormoy, Paris), Michael Greenwold (The Sunken Chip, Faubourg Saint Martin, Paris), Katsuaki Okiyama (Abri, Faubourg Poissonnière, Paris).
Saturday brings the Grand Fooding S. Pellegrino event featuring tons of chefs from around the world, such as Danny Bowien (Mission Chinese, Mission District, SF), Ludo Lefebvre (Trois Mec and Petit Trois, Hollywood, Los Angeles), Noah Bernamoff (Mile End Deli, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, NY) and much more, all in the heart of the Puces de Saint-Ouen.
Sunday boasts a special brunch and rounds out the weekend with one last supper at Lapérouse.
