LIVE: Gov'Nors Beach Club, Happy Birthday, Alesso!

Gov'Nors Beach Club is by far the best summer venue. I was lucky enough to spend Saturday in my neon tank and shades at Alesso show celebrating his birthday. The opening dj's ARTY & OTTO KNOWS did marathon sets starting from 4pm to 10pm to get us warmed up for Alesso. Let me tell you -I WAS READY. The beat made you want to two-step your flashy outfits to the dance floor. You clapped your hands as the bass dropped and you start to sing as loud as you can when your favorite song came on -which was every song.

The weather was hazy and didn't feel like the 100 degrees hell that was predicted. The crowd was surprisingly friendly. It could very well be the nature of house crowds or they met Molly on the way to the island or...both. I lost my shiny iPhone in the crowd but the nicest man texted my friends and I was able to get it back! This will never happen on the island of Manhattan. I had a blast with a bunch of new friends and old friends at Alesso's birthday party. This is why I will forever frequent Governor's Island!
