EVENT PREVIEW: All Things Go Fall Classic 2016 (Oct. 8th, Washington DC)
As one of the District’s most respected and polished music blogs, All Things Go has been putting together some of the area’s best musical festivals lately. Past headliners at the Fall Classic have included Kygo, The Knocks, Future Islands, and Tove Lo.
This year is no exception: electronica heavyweights Empire of the Sun and Passion Pit head up the list, while Maryland rhymer Ace Cosgrove brings the local love. Here's a lineup breakdown for you.

Empire of the Sun
What to Expect: Anthemic singalongs; an otherworldly stage show with theatrics dialed up to 11. See: "Alive."
Passion Pit
What to Expect: Heart-on-sleeve electro-pop with psychedelic flavors. See: "Carried Away."
Sylvan Esso
What to Expect: Intimate, hypnotic folktronica. See: "Coffee."
Christine and The Queens
What to Expect: Angular and artful synth-pop, en français. See: "Tilted."
Bishop Briggs
What to Expect: Equal measures of 808 beats, R&B-flavored vocals, and folk. See: "Wild Horses."
POP ETC
What to Expect: Hook-laden tunes that strike a balance between Eighties new-wave and modern indie. See: "What Am I Becoming?"
Sofi Tukker
What to Expect: Funky jungle and guitar loops over a bedrock of house beats, and tunes that take themselves just as seriously as they should (not very). See: "Awoo."
Ace Cosgrove
What to Expect: Cleverly off-beat, intelligent alt-hip-hop with a decided Nineties SoCal flavor; plenty of hometown shout-outs. See: "Summer Breeze."
