It’s not a bad idea…

Get the top three men in popular R&B and put them on a mega tour, complete with elaborate stage setups, arena-tastic sound, and of course backup dancers. It’s a spectacle that can only be called the OMG tour, and it made its way through DC’s Verizon Center this past weekend.

I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who forgot to cop my 3D glasses at the Target for the MJ tribute on Sunday. Actually now that going 3D is the new going green, I think I’m gonna buy a pair just to keep at the crib because you never know when you’ll need them.

ANYWAY, the tribute was actually very well done and it featured Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and Celine Dion singing Michael’s ‘Earth Song’ which is an exceptionally beautiful piece of music.

It’s one of the few Grammy moments I can’t get enough of…well that and seeing Little Prince Michael and Paris on stage to accept his award. So here it is again, in case any of you were under a rock the past couple of days and not able to peep it.

Usher - What’s A Guy Gotta Do? (prod by The Neptunes)

I don’t think I’ve ever posed any Usher on this blog. Don’t get it twisted, I’ve been an Usher fan for a while, back when the dude was the focus of mixtapes I used to make for my girlfriend back in high school (on actual casettes no less). I came across this Usher track from The Smoking Section, and this might be my new track for the summer. I sense a lot of classic era Neptunes production (we can call agree that they have fallen off lately), and the light breezy feel of the track is a new direction for Mr. Raymond.

I take it this track will be off of Usher’s album Monster which is in production and slated to drop sometime this year. (via TSS)
