New Music: Thievery Corporation feat. Chuck Brown - The Numbers Game

Thievery Corporation feat. Chuck Brown - The Numbers Game

At first glance, you would never think that DC’s two biggest musical exports (pre-Wale) would mesh together–with Thievery Corporation being the sometimes sleepy lounge duo, and DC legend Chuck Brown being the King of go-go. But after listening to this track, I gotta say…this ish goes together like cream and coffee. It’s a rather odd paring, but they both pull it off. And in a city that is so divided racially and economically like DC, it makes a welcome pause from the tension.

The Numbers Game is on Thievery Corporation’s latest album, Radio Retaliation, which dropped last month.
