Blige attends the Bounty "Make a Clean Difference" event at P.S. 165 on May 4, 2010 in New York City. Procter & Gamble's Bounty brand (NYSE: PG), in partnership with HandsOn Network and the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, are teaming up with more than 1,000 volunteers to transform the learning environments of 30 public schools in 10 cities across the country from April through June.Ê" src="http://www.thecouchsessions.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/SingerMar_JoeK_60352423_Max-e1273187073104.jpg" alt="" width="399" height="476" />

Bounty®, in conjunction with the HandsOn Network (www.handsonnetwork.org), Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation (www.rushphilanthropic.org), and the help of 1,000 student volunteers from public schools in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, kicked off their “Make A Clean Difference” Program at P.S. 165 (Robert E. Simon) in Harlem on Tuesday. The program is in place to provide clean, creative learning environments for public school students in NYC and across the country. Two notable faces on site for the kick-off were Russell Simmons and Mary J. Blige. Having worked with the elementary school prior to the kick-off, Rush Philanthropic has a gallery on the fifth floor of the school showcasing a variety of installations, each one inspired by personal experiences and perspectives of the students.

I had the opportunity to speak with Russell Simmons and Mary J. Blige briefly about their involvement with the Bounty “Make A Difference” Program. Be sure to keep your eyes open for the continued initiatives that Rush Philanthropic will be launching over the coming months along with Mary J. Blige’s new eyewear and fragrance lines.

This Adidas spot is a perfect reason why I shouldn’t fast forward through commercials on my DVR. I don’t know why this commercial is so dope, but probably because this is the party that I’ve always had in my dreams. So far, I’ve counted cameos by David Beckham, Russell Simmons, Young Jeezy, Estelle, Kevin Garnett, Missy, RUN DMC, The Game, your momma, and probably more people than I can count. The track featured is “Beggin,” by Norwegian hip-hop duo Madcon, which uses a Frankie Valle sample, and is a nice song in its own right. Video for that song posted below. (Spotted at VK)
