Platinum Pied Pipers – Abundance Mixtape

It’s been more than a while since we’ve heard from Detriot’s Platinum Pied Pipers. The combination of Waajeed (of the Bling 47 crew) and Saadiq (not Raphael) have been largely silent since the release of 2005′s excellent Triple P album. Fortunately for us, the duo is releasing a new album on Inaguration day, and dropped this mixtape to whet our appitites for the the official release. If your’e a fan of the first album, this mixtape is a must have.

Gnarls Barkley at 9:30 Club – August 5th

Show just added today. Gnarls is rocking 9:30 with (er, transvestite fronted) Hercules Love Affair on August 5th. I saw Gnarls at the MCI Center when they opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers, but to see them at a club as small as 9:30 will be a treat. Tickets go on sale today at 10 AM.
