New Music: Madlib feat. Talib Kweli - What It Do

Madlib  feat. Talib Kweli - What It Do

Madlib is one of my favorite producers of all time, and this is a sold track from his upcoming release
WLIB AM: King of the Wigflip which drops on September 29th. Now, I still need to get that Madvillainy 2!

Madlib + Ivan Conti = Jackson Conti

Jackson Conti - Upa Neguinho

I’m always in awe of the sheer genius that is Madlib. Of course ther is his work with Dilla and MF Doom, as well as his production for the likes of Badu and Talkib. And of course there is the brilliance of Yesterday’s New Quintet and whatever other of his many multiple personalities that decides to drop an album.

After conquering India last year, Madlib sets his sites back on Brazil, which he already conquered with Yesterday’s New Quntet project Brasilintime. This time, he’s paired with Ivan Conti of Brazillian funk group Azymuth to cover great Brazillian tracks from the 60s and 70s on his album titled Sujinho. If you like Brazillian music like I do, this album is definitely a good look. Unfortunately, it’s coming out on Dutch label Kindred Spirit so the only way to cop right now is on import.
