For most people who follow the next generation of hip-hop, the artists and songs featured in this mixtape are already household names. To be quite honest, I was wasn’t event going to download this at all because I figured I heard it all before. However, the first track with Brother Ali and Wale destroyed that notion entirely. Fire. The rest of the tracks are quality as well, and there are more than a few songs that I don’t yet have in collection. All you’re hipster-hop favorites are represented here: , and others are thoroughly represented.

Yes, this is major hipster bull$hit, and to be quite honest I’m not buying into the hype of Kid Cudi. Hollywood Holt on the other hand…well, we were down with him since 2005. I’m glad that Holt is getting some shine, first with a video, and now with a mini tour that will send them to NYC, Baltimore, and Canada of all places. Will Hollywood Holt’s Chicago house influenced vibe should go down well in B-more? (via Brooklyn Vegan)
