Adam Tensta in DC at the House of Sweden, Photo/Video Teaser

As most of y’all know, Sweden’s Adam Tensta was in DC this past weekend for two shows at the French Embassy and the House of Sweden. I spent the whole day choppin’ it up with Adam, Eboi, DJ rooftop and his manager on Saturday as we checked out Commonwealth, The Greater Good, and Durkl, as well as setting up a photoshoots with Lady Glock and Sexy Fitsum.

Later that night, Tensta and Eboi straight up killed it at the sold out House of Sweden rooftop rocking the crowd with hits from his latest album Its A Tensta Thing, while also dropping some new material. Also, DJ Rooftop killed it as well with an all Swedish set that included a preview of the Blue and Yellow Print Mixtape, coming soon.

We all know how dope these events at Commonwealth are, so there is really no explination needed. Dope music, and FREE ALCOHOL. What more do you need?

And if you are sleeping on Asher Roth, wake up. The dude has mad skills and he killed his performance at South By. This album will turn some heads.

As with all events on The Block I highly suggest you GET THERE EARLY!

This was, hands down, the best party of the weekend. Who needs snotty ass celebrities (I’m looking at you Leo), when you have Bun B, Wale, David Banner, 9th Wonder, and Charles Hamilton. Oddisee and X.O. also rolled through and Jerome Baker was hitting the 1s and 2s hard as well. I’m probably missing a few cats that were in there as well. This party was as live as the pictures below would have you to believe. Good looks to all the cats at Stussy for making sure this party was mad bananas. More pictures soon.

Could this be the first concert organized via Twitter? The jury is still out on that one. It’s definitely the first Twitter organized concert in DC. If you don’t know, Chester French is the Pharrell approved, Harvard educated duo that has had lots of buzz lately, off of their hot single (and dopest packaging ever) “She Loves Everybody”. Named after the dude who designed the Lincoln Memorial (appropriately) the duo’s impromptu show at The Greater Good was one of the best looks this weekend.

And of course, what would a photo set be without a picture of Lady Glock.

Another night, another very dope in-store event at Commonwealth, who just got a feature in WaPo this week. Just like the Diplo event, it was pure craziness, and this time Pusha T of the Clipse was in the building for the launch of their new Play Cloths line as well as the mixtape Road to When the Casket Drops, which is a prelude to their new album which drops in 2009. The party was off the chain as always, and Wale, Raheem DeVaughn, Tabi Bonney were in the building. Photos by Lady Glock.
