Ke$ha Feat. Andre 3000– Sleazy (Remix)

Let’s get this out of the way. I’m not a fan of Ke$ha.

She does nothing for me musically, and the fact that her career is built on stealing every hipster girls swag dosen’t make it better.

Having that said, this Ke$ha/Andre 3000 collabo dropped over the weekend and has silenced haters like me. The Bangladesh goes hard, and Andre steps back into his MC suit and is so comfortable that you thought he never took it off. And Ke$ha? She hangs with Dre enough to step up her hood chops while maintaining her “bad girl” persona at the same time. It’s a win-win. Check it.

So the word around the interwebs is that there was/is some apparent beef between Big Boi and Jive about this song making it onto the final cut of Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty (which it didn’t). Jive didn’t ‘know what to do with it’ (WTF is that about?) and in a way they set out to make it disappear. HA! Some of those guys over at the ’big’ labels are so funny. Still thinking that’s possible in 2010. Silly record label execs.

Anyway, suffice to say Big Boi is pissed and confused; a fact he let be known to GQ Magazine. But fortunately for us MP3 heads the song mysteriously leaked onto the net yesterday and although the thought of a major still not being able to grasp the concept of the digital revolution still angers/puzzles me, just seeing the names Andre 3000 and Big Boi on a song together is a great  enough distraction for the moment.

“Lookin’ For Ya” is an awesome treat for an Outkast fan. It is produced by Boi Wonda and also features Sleepy Brown which together makes up the crew that laced us with ”Playa’s Ball” .  It’s innovative hip hop and man… André sure knows how to ride that beat well. John Legend Feat. 3000 – Green Light (Diplo Dade County Remix)

I haven’t heard a Diplo remix in a while, so I’m pleasantly surprised that he got back into the game with the already great “Green Light.” Diplo keeps the track bouncy, but adds a special touch of early 90s Miami Bass to the mix. I was going to hold this one for a future podcast, but this track is the perfect start to the weekend and it can’t be ignored. (via Mad Decent)

Yesterday I was noticing a lot of search engine traffic was coming to this site from looking for Fonzworth Bentley. I was scratching my head…Fonzworth? That’s a blast from the past!

“Everybody” was a song that we posted about in 2006 and two years later they finally drop a video for this track. It’s all good though, because the Cool Outrageous Lovers of Uniquely Raw Style (yeah really) bring it. The track itself might rank as my favorite of the year, and again, Andre 3000 kills it. The straight goofiness of the video is refreshing–I thought I would never see Kanye get relegated to the position of backup dancer. Sa-Ra, who produced the track, are in the background and don’t get top billing. Sad.

I was initially blah about Fonzworth and his music career, but I’m the dude won me over after I listened to Kreg and Dez’s interview with him a few years ago where he proved that he’s more than a character. C.O.L.O.U.R.S. is still listed as having no release date, but now that the video has dropped, it should see the light of day

John Legend feat. Andre 3000 – Green Light

This summer is shaping up to be a good one for music, and even though this John Leged jawn is only a snippet, I predict this track will be HUGE….at least on my iPod! (hat tip: Scheme)

Whats up people. I can’t even believe that Its been almost a year since the last Podcast dropped. My bad. There were so many circumstances that prevented me from getting it up for y’all. But it’s a new year, and in tribute to the upcoming relaunch of the site, we have a brand new Podcast. And you ITunes/Ipod people get another dope bonus…Enhanced Podcasts with tracklistings and images. Only thing is, thanks to Apple, you have to subscribe to a new RSS feed, but trust me, its worth it.
