GW STAND presents Falling Whistles
The Marvin Center, Continental Ballroom
800 21st St NW
STAND, the student led anti-genocide coalition, at George Washington University hosts Falling Whistles, the campaign to end violence in the Congo.
Amidst the war and chaos ravaging the Democratic Republic of Congo, the youngest child soldiers who are too small to bear a gun are given whistles. Forced to stand in the vanguard of the battle, these small boys blow their whistles to grab the attention and warn the enemy. Armed with only a whistle, these children are the first to die in the line of fire. These falling whistles became the inspiration for a campaign.
Join the movement against genocide and exposing the truth about Congo to the world.
