The name that came to alter the game…

Killer Mike is the best rapper from Atlanta right now (bring on the comments people). His mixtape from 2005, The Killer is super tough. Dude turned “Cupid” from 112 into a BIG-esque murder tale - and it worked.

I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind is that heat. I have a link, but I’m not even downloading - I’ve supported Killer Kill since his first album. Go get that people.

Playing Fair @ Jive?

These dudes again. Yea, well these dudes got a XXL rating. Now I don’t put my faith in another reviewers hands (peer dude Nozs feelings on Lupes album), but this album IS that crack people.

But My Bills Through the Roof, Can’t Do Numbers Like The Roots

You all should be ashamed. I don’t think anyone who reads this site is a fan of “commericial” hip hop (hope that assumption doesn’t come back to bite). That said only 61,000 people bought the new Roots album. I understand the triple video-no single-on-the-radio campaign wasn’t the smartest but YOU new it was droppin. ?love dropped big myspace bulletins about it and since you check that daily you knew the time.

How the f*ck do they move LESS units than Method Man who had no single/video (I heard he had $37 as a promo budget) in this day and age? I know Shaolin didn’t buy all those copies. Thing about it is Black Though is still nice with his. Dude spits his heart out on every track for what? I’m not a purist dude (sometimes I want to bounce to the left and let me shoulder lean), but its a wrap for these dudes. I’m starting to think that 350,000 albums sold is the new platinum.

Just had to rant, continue on…

Chicago Mang

This in-depth interview w/Lupe should clear up any and all questions that people may have regarding dudes interests, music, and his overall swag. Sucks about his album (yea that happened again), but at this point he should put out nothing short of a classic, being that everyone in the world wants to work with him.

Did Mark Ecko Tag Air Force One?

Tagging.png

For some reason, I can’tbelieve this. Interesting video, but I wouldn’tdoubt it this was done in some sound stage and the “Air Force One,” was the one that they used for that Harrison Ford movie. I’m sure that Mark Ecko would’ve been sent to Guantanamo already if he pulled this off, ya know?

If this ish is true, then more power to him. BOMB THE SYSTEM! Video after the jump. (from Stillfree.com via Metroblogging)

Update: So we all know that this thing was fake. But the movie was so real that the Air Force had to double check the real Air Force One to make sure that it didn’thappen. Apparently, Mark Ecko rented a 747 cargo plane in California and painted one side of it with the AF1 colors (I thought it was a computer animation but apparently it was the real deal). He won’tsay how much the stunt cost, but he did say in a Wired article that…”you have to be rich.” Don’tbreak the bank dude.
