VIDEO: Buddy – Find Me

We’ve all been there: You awaken from a deep sleep, except you’re not actually awake yet. Instead, you’re seat-belted into a beige, mid-‘80s Ford Crown Victoria floating among the clouds.

Ok, maybe that’s not exactly a universally relatable situation. But it does make for one hell of a visual, and such is the predicament that Los Angeles rhymer Buddy finds himself in, in the new video for single “Find Me”.

“Find Me” kicks off Buddy’s latest release, an EP produced entirely by Kaytranada and named Ocean & Montana (after the cross-streets of his old neighborhood). The special effects may dazzle your eyes, but the hook on “Find Me” should do the same to your ears: there’s a lyrical vulnerability on display that’s extremely compelling, given its scarcity in the hip-hop world.

The gravity-bending video for “Find Me” was directed by auteur Andy Hines, best known for his work on Big Sean’s award-winning “One Man Can Change The World“. Here’s hoping we see another video from this EP soon.
