This is my favorite time of the year where I drink way too much, staying up way too late, seeing way too many bands, causing way too much ear damage. It’s the CMJ Music Marathon, a music festival that takes place in New York where hundreds of bands fight it out, MMA style, across dozens of venues across NYC to see who gets enough buzz to hopefully become rich, famous, and marry a Kardashian. One of the highlights during the week is always Fader Fort. Just like its SXSW editions, Fader Fort tends to be the place where you can catch most of the big buzz artists, along with drinking a delectable choice of alcohol to get a buzz of your own (this year it looks like Jack Daniel’s is one of the sponsors, may your livers stay strong).
While the lineup hasn’t been set yet, so far the names that are scheduled to show up include Kehlani, Allan Kingdom, Dilly Dally, Whitney, Martin Courtney, Conner Youngblood, Porches, Bosco and others. In addition to up and coming acts, Fader Fort has no problem throwing a few wrenches in the mix like last year when Mary J. Blige showed up for a quick set. You can RSVP here and keep track of the news at thefader.com/fort.
See you there!
