MUSIC: TOKiMONSTA and Gavin Turek - Surrender

After years of making fantastic beats (her remix of Miguel’s Adorn is a personal favorite around these parts) TOKiMONSTA’s got a record label called Young Art. One of their new releases will be a new EP called You're Invited out on August 28th. It’s a project that features her signee, Gavin Turek, on vocals along with the label head herself behind the boards. We saw Gavin at SXSW a few years ago and were blown away at her talents (both singing and actual performance), and while that was more in a traditional band setting, here she shows that she’s got the chops to bring that same intensity to a wide assortment of arrangements. And as usual TOKiMONSTA’s beat is hot.
