MUSIC: Earl Sweatshirt – I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside

Thanks to leaks and all around bad music industry planning this last week has been a smorgasbord of hip-hop releases. First up was Kendrick Lamar who accidentally dropped what will probably be the album of the year with his soul, jazz and funk ode To Pimp A Butterfly on monday. For those of you still getting high in dorm rooms, Atlanta’s Father dropped his new album Who’s Gonna Get Fucked First, which is a solid followup to his better then expected Young Hot Ebony record from last year. Death Grips pulled a surprise and had an unintentional leak for once for their rock influenced Jenny Death. For those of you who like your raps overweight and funny, Action Bronson released the his record Mr Wonderful after it leaked around thursday/friday.

Pretty much the ONLY rapper to release something in the past week that didn’t have a leak was Odd Future’s dark wordsmith Earl Sweatshirt, who released another morose album with a spectacularly morose title of I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside. Which, if your in the American North East with the weather patterns we have been having, you can probably relate with. Watch the video from the album cut, “Grief”, below.
