Modern journeyman jazz drummer Otis Brown III set to drop his debut album The Thought Of You on September 23rd via Revive/Blue Note. Considering his chops he would be well worth the listen on his own but considering his band is rounded out by Robert Glasper it’s definately something to put on your radar. The first song we have from the record, “The Thought of You Part 1” features Bilal and probably one of the best intros I have heard in years. Any and all aspiring hip-hop producers you had better go chop that sample up quick before the next man does. Listen below.
