Eleven albums into her career and Meshell Ndegeocello is still at the top of her game. Her career in the early 90’s was a blast of soul, funk and R&B in the 90’s that nobody was quiet doing at the time. Since then she’s laid the groundwork for many different careers and you could argue was the spark that lead to the whole neo-soul movement that defined the late 90’s early ’00’s R&B. She’s dabbled in Jazz, played songs with Eric Clapton, and has at least one classic, ‘Bitter’ under her belt. Her newest Comet, Come To Me is streaming at NPR and as good as anything she’s done in the past. Check it out here.
