Droves of Washingtonians congregated in the Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square to celebrate the Washington City Paper’s Best of D.C. Fete 2014.  The annual ranking of categories including Food & Drink, Arts & Entertainment, Goods & Services, and People & Places by staffers and readers alike is enough to over indulge in.  However, food prepared by the likes of Cashion’s Eat Place, Masa 14, and Poste amongst many other local favorites sent me over the edge.  In addition, many tastings of the District’s buzzing beer scene by Atlas Brew Works, 3 Stars Brewing Company, and DC Brau Brewing as well as several other beers and craft cocktails were savored by patrons while enjoying the sounds of the live band and DJs.  I could list out this year’s circle of winners but instead of spoiling it, pick up a copy of the latest edition for yourself.
