Ever since his critically acclaimed album Untrue, the enigmatic murky beat master Burial has apparently given up the album format. As opposed to collecting a group of fully edited songs, his past 3 releases have been 30 minute EP’s. Each EP has been separated into 3 tracks that are less fully fledged ‘songs’ but mixes that seem more like a soundtrack to a short film. Raindrops, conversations snippets, and sometimes a total lack of sound period clash against the dark bass heavy beats and disemboweled vocal samples he’s known for. This officially gets released on Hyperdub next week, peep below.
