With 1300 live sets at venues all over NYC over the course of five days, the CMJ Music Marathon can intimidate even the seasoned concert goer. With that in mind and to cut through some of the fog, this year The Fader presented another well curated series of events with its collaboration Fader + Converse Fort Party. Featuring a great lineup of artists performing during CMJ all brought to Brooklyn to perform at the intimate venue Converse Rubber Tracks.
This year we made sure to capture the action both nights of great performances by Strange Talk (Australian synth pop band), Kelela (DC native electro-R&B songstress), The Internet (the funky soul side of OFWGKTA), and Deerhunter (the post-punk indie rock collective from Atlanta). All in all this event served as a great primer to CMJ for anyone out there looking to catch some of the showcase favorites all under one roof.
